After a six-point loss by the Milwaukee Bucks to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, news broke that Milwaukee Bucks are planning on waiving DeMarcus Cousins ahead of Friday’s deadline.

That is the point where all non-guaranteed contracts are to be guaranteed for the rest of the year.
The Milwaukee Bucks plan to waive center DeMarcus Cousins, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Bucks are opting for roster flexibility ahead of league-wide contract guarantee date Friday. There’s expected to be interest in Cousins as a free agent.

Cousins has averaged 9.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in his 17 games with the Bucks, while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 27.1 percent from behind the arc. Cousins had 15 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals in Wednesday night’s loss to the Toronto Raptors.
With him on the outs in Milwaukee and with production like that, there are sure to be teams looking his way, as stated in Charania’s report. Should the Heat be among that group?
