Miami Heat: Can Tyler Herro Secure His First All-Star Bid?

Tyler Herro has taken a big step from his first two seasons in the NBA. He has become a reliable and dependable scorer for Miami.

He is averaging over 20 points off the bench, a mark that leads all bench players in the NBA.

Herro is on pace to win the Sixth Man of the Year Award. Although he is talented and capable enough to be a starter on any team in the NBA, he has accepted his role as the sixth man for the Miami Heat, which has worked extremely well for both sides.

He provides a much-needed scoring barrage when he comes in. Herro’s ability to step up when needed makes him a legitimate candidate for his first All-Star selection this year.

In the absence of several starters, Herro was often moved into the starting lineup. When that happened, he continued to score the ball often and with tremendous efficiency.

Tyler Herro is a rising star in the NBA. Is he an All-Star now though?

Maybe not quite yet. But he is well on his way.
