The Miami Heat have a ton of interesting storylines to follow at the moment. However, there might not be a single one that’s more compelling than this one has gotten.

And to be frank, the Markieff Morris saga continues to get deeper. Start with the fact that he’s only played in 10 of a possible 39 Miami Heat games this season.

Having not played since the November 8th game, that was when he was originally injured in the infamous dustup that emanated from an exchange with Denver Nuggets center, Nikola Jokic.

Mind you this is a team and lineup that has dealt with many COVID and injury situations since then. With the fact that they are still down Bam Adebayo, Dewayne Dedmon, and have been down P.J. Tucker, Morris would have been a vital piece of that equation without so many of their big men.

That’s even more so than he would be under normal circumstances, seeing an average of around 18-20 minutes per night before going down. Besides, of course they can use the services of another big versatile body of a player capable of creating his own offense like Markieff Morris can at his best.

The Miami Heat have been without Markieff Morris since early November in a well-documented situation. He chose to speak about it, without remorse.

While that’s what they’re missing without him, the reason that he is missing is the topic at hand right now. Morris recently took to Twitter to address one user’s remarks of shock on just how long the big man has been out.

Not holding back, Morris seemed to, somewhat, address several topics of question. One, exactly how he felt about what happened.

The second was exactly how he feels about the other person involved in the situation. Lastly and the most important of any of it, sort of an update on his return.

After the sentiments started to pick up some traction in the social, digital, and media worlds, Morris felt the need to respond again. It was subtle, but to the point, as you would expect from this guy.

Hopefully, he can make it back more sooner than later. The Miami Heat will need what he brings to reach their ultimate goal in the long run, a title.

However, in the short run, he would certainly be a nice plug-and-play guy for quite a bit of minutes right now with them banged up. Only time will tell though, both with his playing status and this whole story.
