The Miami Heat will, once again, put their stuff to the test on Friday night. Getting away from the FTX Arena for one of the fewer times that they’ll have to do that as the second portion of the season gets underway, they travel to Atlanta for their third meeting with the Hawks in just a week or so.

Taking care of them twice just last week, winning both games of a home and home set, the Miami Heat will look to get another victory against an in-conference foe.

Though they’ll be without Kyle Lowry again, the third time in three games since Monday’s initial missed contest against his old team, the Miami Heat should still be in the driver’s seat towards a victory in this one.

The Miami Heat will also be without Tyler Herro again, in the health and safety protocols, while they’ll also be without Markieff Morris, KZ Okpala, and Victor Oladipo, who has yet to make his season debut.

The Miami Heat have another tough game Friday against a team they’ve beaten twice in the last nine days. The wise guys think it’s still a close one though.

The Atlanta Hawks might be down a few guys as well though, so things should more than even out on that front.

The most curious thing about this contest though, especially with the recent history of it all, is that it is essentially being called a Pick’em game by the oddsmakers.

The recent history would be a not-so-great Hawks team, a pretty good Miami Heat team seeing the return of their second-best player in Bam Adebayo, and with the most jarring of them all being that the Heat just beat them twice in a row. Perhaps, though, that’s why the bookmakers are seeing a tighter contest.

Without Kyle Lowry going too, that may be something else lending towards this prognosis, though their injury possibilities, likely, even that out. Here are the odds for the contest.

Moneyline: MIA/ATL -110

Spread: Pick’em (0)

Total: 218

The Miami Heat will have the two best players on the court, as long as Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are going. That should be enough to propel them to victory.

Look for them to make good on the odds. Though the odds aren’t going to make you rich, they should still make for a nice hit.
