Miami Heat: Coach Spo Will Have Tough Choices On Rotation When Dipo’s Back

The easiest way to approach the rotation would be to remove Vincent and let Oladipo absorb the backup guard minutes alongside Herro. This would leave about 30 minutes for Strus and Martin to share on a nightly basis.

Considering the alternate route would be to remove Strus’ shooting or Martin’s defense, it is likely that Vincent will get the short end of the stick when it comes to consistent minutes.

While Oladipo’s return may still be a ways off, it is important to look ahead at how the rotation might shake out when he inevitably returns. Adebayo has already expressed his excitement in seeing Oladipo on the court again.

It would be hard to imagine a former All-NBA caliber player not being in the nightly rotation. For that to happen, however, someone has to be removed from Coach Spo’s rotation, while others will get reduced minutes.

Until Olapido returns, the Heat will continue chugging along with the best record in the Eastern Conference. When Oladipo returns though, stay on your toes.
