Miami Heat: Kyle Lowry’s Return Sealed With Spurs Victory, 112-95
The Miami Heat headed to San Antonio on Thursday to finish what was started back on December 29th. Well, they went to finish what should have been started back then.
In a makeup game, due to the NBA rules of being able to field a proper roster, the game was postponed. At the tail end of a soul-searchable three-game skid for the Miami Heat, this was probably just what the doctor ordered.
Heading into Texas to take on a Spurs team with a practically complete opposite record of them- 19-34 after the defeat, the Miami Heat needed a place to get a get right win.
Also, with the return of Kyle Lowry, it was just the kind of game he needed to start to get himself reacclimated in his long-awaited and needed return from an absence to deal with a personal matter.
On Lowry’s performance, the rust was certainly there, as he had a few confounding turnovers. He would go on to have a modest, yet needed showing, helping the Heat along while getting his feet back up under him it seems.
The Miami Heat need to win one after dropping their last several and especially in getting Kyle Lowry back. A trip to San Antonio was just what they needed.
He would finish with only two points, three rebounds, and four assists on one shot attempt from the floor in 25 minutes of action. Jimmy Butler wouldn’t really get going until later in the game.
Coming on when the Heat seemed to need him the most, he would be the driving force to the Heat being able to get out to a lead and stay out in this one. Butler would finish with 17 points, seven boards, and three dimes of his own.
Tyler Herro also had himself a game as well. He finished with a team-high 24 points, five rebounds, and five assists, but also a series of over-the-top finishes.

This was a team that the Miami Heat were supposed to beat. It was a young, developing team, and one missing their best players in Jakob Poeltl and Dejounte Murray.
However, the Miami Heat still had to go out there and do it. That’s just what they did.
It was great to see them handle their business after dropping the past few and twice over for the Kyle Lowry factor. Once because he was back in the first place and two because they got him back going with a win.
