The Miami Heat came out again on Monday and continued their dominant ways. As they did in Charlotte on Saturday against a combustible Hornets team, they imposed their will on the opposition late in this one as well.

As noted, the game didn’t really turn in any one team’s favor until the second half began. Miami got out to a nice lead to start the game, but the Wizards were able to cut that to seven points by the time the first-half buzzer would sound, 60-53 in Miami’s favor.

It was the third period, again as it was in the last win over Charlotte, where the Heat proceeded to separate themselves and for good. They would score 31 points, which would turn out to be one of three periods scoring over 30 for Miami while holding the Wizards to just 17 points.

That saw the Heat up, 91-70, at the end of the period and more than able to run off with it.

The Miami Heat got another good win on Monday night. Supposed to do what they did to a lesser team, they dominated in the Capital One Arena.

Interestingly enough and often the case for these Miami Heat on the road, Capital One Arena in D.C presented a real hometown feel at times.

The Miami Heat were led in scoring by their best two players, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. Butler would finish with 19 points, three rebounds, and four assists, while Bam would chip in 21 points, seven boards, and four helpers as well.

They were just two of the seven Miami Heat players to score in double figures on the night. That figures though, as the Miami Heat would have a great shooting night as a team.

They would shoot 56.6 percent from the floor, making 43 of their 76 attempts, and 56.3 percent from range as well, making 18 of their 32 shots from deep. The Heat have one more game left in the road trip, a matchup with New Orleans, before heading home to face Brooklyn on Saturday.
