The Miami Heat are finally starting to become whole again. With the return of Victor Oladipo recently, they were just one piece away from being the team everyone expected would be the team finishing the season this year.

In this past Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, it all came to fruition. Playing in his first contest in nearly 60 games, Markieff Morris would make his return to the floor for the first time since the early November game that saw the now-infamous dustup between himself and Nikola Jokic.

Speaking to that very incident after the game, it seems, Keef had some very pointed words on the situation. According to The Athletic (subscription required), Morris said “F–k nah, I don’t want to hear from him”, upon being asked if he’d heard from Jokic since the incident, following that up with a “He did what he did and it is what it is.”

That’s the attitude you’d expect from one of the Morris Twins, knowing how hard and scrappy they’ve been throughout the totality of their careers.

The Miami Heat are almost at full strength for the first time this season. Along with Victor Oladipo, Markieff Morris was the final piece to the puzzle.

As far as Jokic goes and while you might be stretching it to call him dirty, he does have a bit of inconsistency about him that doesn’t sit well with you if you watch closely.

There have been several incidents where things have happened, to which he responded—erraticallyto say the least, only to go on to act as though he were innocent in the whole thing. At least, with the Morris brothers and Markieff, specifically here, you know what you are getting.

Either way you view it, this isn’t about Jokic or that incident anymore, it’s about being happy the Miami Heat have Markieff Morris back in the mix and are looking to press towards the ultimate goal—the NBA title. Keef didn’t look bad, at all, in his debut either, not showing much rust from the long absence.

Here is what he had to say on his showing.

"“Obviously it showed tonight that I’d been (working out),” Morris said. “It wasn’t like I hadn’t been doing anything. I’ve been good for a while. We were just making sure we crossed our t’s and dotted our i’s and everything.“I’m just grateful to be able to play basketball again.”"

Well stated Markieff. Well stated.

It’s good to see him healthy. And it’s definitely good to see him back, being himself, adding toughness, and more depth to a Miami Heat squad looking to contend for it all.
