Miami Heat: Atlanta Will Need All Hands On Deck To Steal One, But It’s Possible
As stated, this was all great for Miami, but don’t expect the Hawks to be this bad again. The Heat need to be wary of the adjustments Young will make in Game 2.
If he’s smart, he’ll be looking to pass more than anything and the Heat need to keep close tabs on who he’ll be passing to. The Hawks have good perimeter shooters and with John Collins being back, he’s always capable of going off.
There’s also another dude who could do a lot with well-placed Young passes or make some himself. That feeds right into a second point here.
If Atlanta wants to win a game in this series, they’ll need the scoring to be a team effort. Miami will need to play everyone tightly and most especially Bogdan Bogdanovic coming off the bench.
While Young having a bad game is the main talking point here, Bogdan failing to get a field goal was also detrimental for Atlanta. Bogdanovic is a talented scorer too and Heat played him well, trapping him at the right times and forcing bad looks.
That will need to continue to be the case for the rest of the series. Bogdanovic going off could be Atlanta’s key to stealing a win and it seems like Miami knows it.
Game 1 was a good win for Miami but they know the job’s not done.
They’ll need to stay sharp and pay attention to any potential adjustments Atlanta makes going into Game 2. Trae Young getting his team more involved, especially helping to get Bogdanovic going, are likely the two core ones to concern themselves with.
