Miami Heat: Season Assessment And Grade For Gabe Vincent
By Max Marshall
One of the biggest surprises of the Miami Heat season was Gabe Vincent. Not only has he grown into one of the best reserve point guards in the league, but he is quickly becoming one of a long list of the Miami Heat’s great uncovered gems.
A lot of people have to take the defeat on this one, as many never saw Vincent being a real contributor for Miami. The book on Vincent was that he was guy who could shoot it when he first landed in Miami a season or so back.
Last year, you didn’t really see a ” shooter” but this year, Vincent has shown that he can really shoot the three-ball. Vincent shot the ball last season at 30.9 percent, while this season, he jumped up to 36.8 percent with a change to his shooting stroke.
You had to feel comfortable whenever Vincent was letting it go from three. With Kyle Lowry missing nineteen games this year, Vincent came in and did a really good job filling in.
