Miami Heat: Grading Victor Oladipo’s 2021-22 Season

You know that the Miami Heat were a deep team this year when former All-Stars have to play their way to earn a spot in the rotation. That was the case with Victor Oladipo this year.

After peaking at an All-Star level on the Indiana Pacers, Oladipo has had a tough time staying healthy. He has dealt with a lingering knee injury.

Last offseason, he underwent surgery that would hopefully solve the issue for good.

After trading for him during the 2020-21 NBA season, in which he played only four games for the Heat, the team decided to give Oladipo another chance to prove himself.

He was signed to a minimum deal. It was viewed as a low-risk and high-reward deal for Miami.

As a result of his knee surgery, Dipo missed most of the season with the Miami Heat. He only played in eight regular-season games and 15 postseason games.

Based on that, it is difficult to grade Oladipo solely on how he performed. His performance under the circumstances must also be considered though.
