The Houston Rockets are loading up on picks and clearly building for the future around top talent. The squad in Texas was perfectly fine watching John Wall sit on the bench to find out what it has in players like Jalen Green.

Adding a player like Lowry will help move the ball more and turns Houston into the Oklahoma City Thunder 2.0.

That’s a waylay station for older talent to recoup while picking up more draft picks. For the Heat, it offers two low-risk and high reward prospects in place of one.

Gordon is a proven scorer who could still have gas in the tank for one more run on a two-year deal. Porter Jr. is on his player option, which means if he is a bust, it is a one-year mistake on the cheap.

But the upside is a lethal scorer. It could be worth the risk, well worth it.
