Miami Heat: If He Were Made Available, SGA Would Be Well Worth The Chase

Here’s something else that people may forget.

When CP3 went there, his trade value was at an all-time low. Some even dared call him washed going into that season.

However, he looked great for Oklahoma City, even getting that young team to the playoffs. The same thing could happen for a guy like Lowry in Oklahoma City, perhaps.

The major point is this. Oklahoma City isn’t unfamiliar with making this type of move and if you look at it Gilgeous-Alexander, he’d probably be a major upgrade for Miami.

It is a win-now move, while it sets up for a great future tandem with him and Bam Adebayo. Though SGA is a streaky three-point shooter at just 34 percent, he hasn’t been playing with the best NBA talent over the last couple of seasons either.

To the point of his talent though, he did average nearly 25 points, five rebounds, and six assists last season across 56 games played. If it presented itself, the Miami Heat would do themselves a disservice to not listen.

Tall young point guards that can average 25 points per game at just 23 years old don’t come around often. Pat Riley and Sam Presti do have a good relationship, so who knows what could happen.

This would definitely be a championship-type move for the Miami Heat though.
