Miami Heat: Mo Bamba Would Be Added Size And Fits On Both Sides Of The Ball

In this past season, Bamba averaged 10.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. Those are solid numbers for a backup big.

The thing that should excite you most about Bamba is the ability to shoot the three-ball. Bam Adebayo doesn’t shoot too many threes at all right now, but Bamba has no problems firing from three.

Having them playing on the court together could not only be an effective tandem on that side because of the inside-outside of it all, but it could work on defense too. Bamba has his moments defending small guards on the perimeter, where Bam Adebayo excels.

On the other end of the spectrum though and with Miami’s love for defending the paint, Bamba’s length and shot-blocking would be a welcomed sight. Averaging nearly two blocks per contest in this past season, his presence could be something that Miami hasn’t had in a while.

The sheer fact of getting a little bit younger and more athletic wouldn’t hurt either. All of the previously mentioned is also in combination with his potential as a pick-and-roll threat.

It’s not hard to imagine Bamba rolling to the rim as a lob threat, a pick and pop threat from the elbow, or from much deeper at the three. There are probably some skills on both sides of the ball just waiting for a team like the Miami Heat to tap into as well.

Plain and simple, he could be an ideal target for the Miami Heat. If he wants to win, get much better, and all while having a chance to start in meaningful games in a meaningful role, then Miami should be an easy choice for him.

Will they dial his phone though?
