The Miami Heat are always in the driver’s seat. Whether they are going directly to their destination or not though is always something left to be determined by the happenings of the offseason.
With that, the Brooklyn Nets are in a weird spot due to the Kyrie Irving situation. It seems, though, that it will be ending soon, whether Irving is traded or leaves in free agency.
Any way you slice it, Irving’s time in Brooklyn looks to be nearing an end. What would that mean for Kevin Durant in Brooklyn?
Well, it all has to start with Irving’s potential return in a trade. If Durant isn’t happy with what Brooklyn gets back in return, would he ask for a trade?
There still hasn’t been any mention of Ben Simmons here, who is in Brooklyn but is coming back from back surgery. If you are Durant, can you trust Simmmons’ return to the court or further—can you trust him as a teammate?
It seems like they have a lot going on and with a guy like Durant, who just likes to play basketball, it’s easy to see him wanting to go elsewhere. With all of that in mind though, could the Miami Heat get in on the potential “Durant Sweepstakes”?
