Miami Heat: The Pros and Cons Of Targeting Kevin Durant – Pros

Well, for starters, it’s Kevin freaking Durant. Who wouldn’t want him on their team?

Pros

Now that that part is out of the way, Durant would be the perfect fit next to Bam Adebayo, while he fits with Jimmy Butler as well. Adebayo actually got the chance to play with Durant last summer in the Olympics.

When you think about the actual basketball of it all, Adebayo looks for teammates to score, so getting Durant good looks will be easy. Durant won’t need to work as hard on defense due to Adebayo roaming around as well.

When you look at Durant and Butler, that seems to be a pretty seamless fit as well. Butler brings the ball up for Miami a lot.

That would mean a lot of off-ball movement for Durant. Durant is also a sneaky passer who has a high IQ for the game.

Joining these two in Miami would allow him to just focus on getting buckets. That’s not to mention that Durant is a three-level scorer, which Miami could desperately use.

The last thing to think about are the possibilities for Spo. Plainly put, Erik Spoelstra coaching Durant would be really fun to watch.
