Miami Heat: The Pros and Cons Of Targeting Kevin Durant – Cons

The only cons are associated with health and longevity. Durant does have an injury history and next year will be year 16 for him.

Cons

He first underwent successful surgery to repair a Jones fracture in his right foot in October of 2014. He missed the first 17 games of the 2014-15 campaign as well.

Durant tore his right Achilles tendon on June 10, 2019, in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. There are definitely miles on his body too.

Besides that, there are no “cons’ to getting Durant. Durant can just focus on playing basketball in Miami.

He actually seems like a pretty simple man who just wants to play basketball at a high level and that’s what would take place in Miami if he were to join the team. If Miami can keep Adebayo out of the trade, then they would have another “Big 3”.

Draft picks don’t matter right now and the same would go for anyone else on the roster in a potential move for KD. The time is now for Pat Riley to make a move and bring another ring to Miami.

After the playoff run that Butler went on this year, he needs to be rewarded with another scorer. Durant would be just the prize.
