Miami Heat Rumors: ‘No Known’ Interest In Kyrie Irving Outside Of Lakers
The Miami Heat are in a very optimal position right now. With a desire to improve their team and thus, their shot at their next NBA Finals berth, the free agent and NBA trade markets are, likely, beginning to take shape.
One of the key stories and perhaps, pieces that will influence how it all happens, just took an interesting turn on Monday. Though Kyrie Irving and his, reportedly, deteriorating relationship with the Brooklyn Nets is the foundation, the stories that have popped up from the surface are intriguing.
One of them indicates that Irving has a list of preferred teams, which included the Miami Heat. Then you have the Miami Heat’s owner, Micky Arison, tweeting out an interesting position of his in the midst of all the Kyrie Irving rumors and reports.
The nature of the report, basically the disagreement with those that take an anti-vaccination approach, is basically anti-Kyrie Irving.
The Miami Heat are one of Kyrie Irving’s preferred teams, according to reports. But also according to reports, no team is interested in him besides the Lakers.
Though there might actually be more to dissect among it all, the most telling report has now surfaced. It comes from NBA scoop-meister, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
In the words of one of the most famous quotes from Will Ferrell’s Anchorman movies, “that escalated quickly”. There are a few ways to take this.
One is for exactly what it is. The LA Lakers are the only team willing to take on Kyrie Irving and all that might come with that.
The second thing is built off of that but presents a scenario that proves Kyrie Irving totally wrong, at least once here and about his desire, willingness, and sights of success when it comes to playing with LeBron James.
That was an infamous hangup earlier in Irving’s career. Third off, it says that the Miami Heat just may not be interested in all.
Or lastly and perhaps, most appropriately, it says that the Miami Heat are comfortable doing what they do. That would be to wait in attack mode, being ready to pounce on the right deal for them when all parties are at their most frantic, fragile, or desperate.
Whether that be for Irving or Kevin Durant in Brian Windhorst’s “Godfather Move“—is still yet to be determined.
