Miami Heat: 3 Reasons They Shouldn’t Deal For Kyrie Irving

Culture-wise, the Heat are known for discipline.

Culture

It’s one of Pat Riley’s calling cards and something he’s worked hard on instilling since he took over the organization. Kyrie Irving has shown that he doesn’t really jive with the whole listening to the boss thing.

Granted, he’s made some fair points over the years while giving perspective on very relevant issues, but sometimes he has ideas that really don’t seem to align with being a team player. That is to be taken quite literally.

In several instances, his remarks give off the impression that he thinks of himself above the rest of the team. Yes, the NBA is a stars’ league, but it’s still a five-on-five game, meaning the rest of the team absolutely matters.

Most of all though, Riley just doesn’t play those games. Riley’s handled media frenzies and circuses before but is Kyrie worth the trouble at this point?

Given the track record, why would a team like the Miami Heat, a team one win away from the NBA Finals, take on the conundrum that is Kyrie Irving?
