Although they did not face each other in the playoffs this past season, both teams were considered title contenders. Once again, the Miami Heat have a chance to weaken the Milwaukee Bucks by signing one of their players.

Last season, the Heat signed P.J. Tucker. This year, Bobby Portis is available.

Bobby Portis would be a great fit in Miami. He is a diligent worker on the basketball court who makes effort plays.

He is also a big player at 6’10”, which fills one of the team’s needs. Even at his size, he can still effectively defend multiple positions though.

Last season, we saw Portis utilize his strength in the absence of Brook Lopez. Portis took advantage of the moment, averaging a career-high in points. He is entering the peak of his career.

This is the right time for the Miami Heat to sign the fan-favorite. However, Milwaukee will surely be fighting to keep him.
