Miami Heat: Kyle Allman Jr.’s unteachable ‘pop’ warrants a camp deal

Averaging 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 21 minutes on average across five games, Kyle Allman Jr. hasn’t exactly been the most efficient, at all.

Shooting just 37.3 percent from the field and 23.5 percent from three, you might wonder why on Earth should the Miami Heat be willing to give him a further shot or look. And that’s a fair assessment based on the numbers.

However, there are things in sports that you just can’t teach. Some guys just pop—and Allman Jr. is one of those guys.

The ability to create the space while getting the defender off-balanced, then getting back to his spot, only to rise up to nail the three is something you either have—or you don’t. It’s really that simple and especially when it comes to a high-speed and quick twitch game like basketball at the highest level.
