Miami Heat: Would It Be Wise To Try And Move Off Kyle Lowry Already?

The evidence, therefore, suggests that Miami really should move him sooner than later. The top of the East has only gotten better.

The Heat have arguably gotten worse. While we all know Pat Riley has a strong interest in the Kevin Durant sweepstakes, it might be better to move off of Lowry and try to find a suitable replacement guard as quickly as possible.

That’s especially when looking at the playmaking needs of this current offense. Kevin Durant is a problem solver but there’s been no real momentum on a deal.

Lowry is, again, on a contract that pays him $28.33 and $29.68 million over the next two years, a contract that does have a chance to become dead weight if this first year was Lowry’s best year with the Miami Heat.

So, what options are out there? Who’s available?

Well, it’s limited. It would take some top-tier finessing to get a good guard back, but it’s not impossible to conceive.
