Miami Heat: Though Shaq Is A Finicky Case, LeBron James Must Be Considered

In the process of helping his team win two titles in back-to-back seasons, the Big 3 Era not only shaped what basketball would look like following the occurrence (big name combinations, small ball, and playing your biggest and most put together wings as stretch bigs) but showed you what an NBA cultural phenomenon could look like in the Social Media Era.

Hot. LeBron James would have dominated in the 90’s too. light

Let’s be frank, Allen Iverson and Michael Jordan are and were cultural phenomenons, among a few others across the history of the league, but no one did it amongst the advent of social media prior. Things like ESPN’S daily Heat Index and others were figments of the imagination until the Miami Heat’s Big 3 Era.

So, all in all, you consider LeBron James one of the Miami Heat’s All-Timers for a few reasons. Not only did he actually become him in Miami, but he helped them win the majority of their titles in the process.

And outside of the facts that he actually found himself and helped them win that hardware, it was partially through him (and some tough Chris Bosh play in the middle) that the Miami Heat were able to literally change the course of the game forever.

Next. Ceiling and floor for Jimmy Butler’s role in 2022-23 season. dark

That’s what makes LeBron a must-consider when discussing the greatest players in Miami Heat franchise history.
