If there was one player to compare Marcus Garrett to, it would be this guy.

Jrue Holiday was never an All-Star, but he is still one of the most valuable players a team could have. He has consistently been one of the best defenders in the NBA, as well as a skilled playmaker.

Garrett’s greatest asset is his defense. His athleticism allows him to defend multiple positions too.

For that reason, he is a good fit in Miami. If he develops offensively, he could earn himself some minutes.

Garett seems to be heading in that direction. His Summer League performance this year has given some insight as to what he might look like next season.

We saw a mature Garrett that looks more comfortable at the NBA pace. He showed improvement at leading the offense in transition and what you really liked as well was his leadership.
