The Miami Heat don’t play the sexiest brand of basketball out there. They do it with hard work and grit.

They won’t wow you with their athleticism like the Memphis Grizzlies or the Minnesota Timberwolves might do on a night-to-night basis, though they have some guys capable. They won’t go on massive scoring flurries as the Golden State Warriors have shown capable of doing over the course of their current dynastic run.

What they will do, though, is what they’ve always done. The Miami Heat will wear you down as a team, grinding each individual player down to a stump in the process.

They play physical and tough, never relenting on whatever they are trying to do. The way that shows up most is on the defensive side of the ball.

With all of that stuff that harkens back to the old saying of defense winning championships while offenses sell tickets, the Miami Heat do have quite a few shots to show their stuff on the national stage this coming season.

The Miami Heat have 22 nationally televised games this season. Though most of them are on NBATV, they’ll get a hefty chance to show their stuff to the world.

Defense and hustle must get it done for somebody making the calls.

With 22 such games on the initial schedule, meaning there could be more added depending upon flex scheduling and A Network’s desired teams based on performance, here is how it looks at the moment:

  • October 21 against Boston Celtics – ESPN
  • October 27th @ Golden State Warriors – NBATV
  • November 30th @ Boston Celtics – NBATV
  • December 8th against LA Clippers – NBATV
  • December 17th in Mexico City against San Antonio Spurs – NBATV
  • December 28th against LA Lakers – NBATV
  • January 4th @ LA Lakers – ESPN
  • January 6th @ Phoenix Suns – ESPN
  • January 14th @ Milwaukee Bucks – ABC
  • January 16th @ Atlanta Hawks – TNT
  • January 20th @ Dallas Mavericks – ESPN
  • January 24th against Boston Celtics – TNT
  • February 13th against Denver Nuggets – NBATV
  • February 15th @ Brooklyn Nets – ESPN
  • February 24th @ Milwaukee Bucks – ESPN
  • February 27th @ Philadelphia 76ers – NBATV
  • March 6th against Atlanta Hawks – NBATV
  • March 10th against Cleveland Cavaliers – NBATV
  • March 25th against Brooklyn Nets – NBATV
  • March 28th @ Toronto Raptors – TNT
  • April 1st against Dallas Mavericks – NBATV
  • April 6th @ Philadelphia 76ers – TNT

Though you can’t really call it a nice mix, as far as them being spread out on the different networks that show the professional game, they do get their fair share of love from the good people over at NBATV.

Being the league’s official television namesake, there is a little something that comes with that recognition. In any event and wherever you get to see the Miami Heat, it’s always a good and exciting time.
