Miami Heat: Former Champion, Norris Cole, Calls Game For USA Over Puerto Rico

A guy who knows that culture all too well and a former two-time Miami Heat NBA champion during the Big 3 Era, Norris Cole is an example of that. And in fact, that never say die mentality would show up big for Cole on Thursday.

Playing for Team USA during FIBA Americup proceedings, the scrappy former Miami Heat guard would continue to be just that—scrappy.

Needing a bucket for his team with the clock ticking down in the final period of the game, Cole found himself with the rock and a chance to break the tie.

And that’s just what the former champion did. Like champions can and do, especially those with the Miami Heat, Cole came up with a clutch bucket when his team needed it the most in a direct knockout matchup against Puerto Rico.
