The Miami Heat’s single greatest player in franchise history, Dwyane Wade, grew to become such for many reasons.

While his top-notch exploits from a very young age with the franchise are just the tip of the iceberg, leading them to their first NBA title with big help from The Diesel, one Shaquille O’Neal, he would also help them to become the franchise they are in other ways.

Helping them to assemble the Big 3 along with LeBron James and Chris Bosh, keeping them relevant in lean times when the roster wasn’t up to par, and even coming back to finish it all where it started after a tumultuous money situation between him and the organization, Dwyane Wade has done a lot for and with this Miami Heat franchise.

It all points to his versatility, one could say, something else that really helped him excel on the court. And it’s also continued to help him excel off the court after he hung up his sneakers for good.

The Miami Heat’s greatest player in franchise history, Dwyane Wade, is a man of many talents. He’s leaving one behind for now though, exiting at TNT.

It landed him everywhere, including on one of the foremost NBA telecasts in the world, a gig covering the league for TNT. It also must be his versatility that has caused him to call it quits on TV.

At least that’s the case for now and according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.

"Future Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade will not return to TNT this season, The Post learned Tuesday. After three years at the network, the decision was Wade’s, according to sources. TNT made an offer to keep him, but Wade has various other business interests he wants to focus on.TNT declined comment, but there were no ill feelings between the two sides. Sources said the move is not at all related to recent layoffs by Turner’s parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery."

Having other “various business interests he wants to focus on”, there is Flash’s versatility shining again. A part owner of the Utah Jazz, the Miami Heat legend has excelled at almost everything he’s done.

Perhaps this is just another part of his evolution. Whatever it is he’s up to next, he’ll, more than likely, excel there too.
