The Miami Heat will go as far as Jimmy Butler does. That’s a fact.

Let’s be more specific though. The Miami Heat will go as far as Jimmy Butler can take them.

That sounds more like it. Looking back on the totality of his exploits since becoming a member of the Miami Heat, that is no more evident than a summarizing glance at his Miami Heat resume.

More specifically, if you think back to this past season’s playoffs, he was arguably the best player in them and if he wasn’t, he was top two. Now, as we know, having to do all he did and especially considering the way that he does it—it can take a lot out of a guy.

But, that’s the perfect lead-in to Jimmy Butler’s biggest question entering the year. Here goes nothing.

Biggest Question For Jimmy Butler: How much does he have to give, how soon can he give it, and for how long?

You know that Jimmy Butler is going to bring it every single time he laces them up. That speaks towards the whole “the way he does it” thing.

No single player attacks the game at both ends with as much tenacity and will as Jimmy does. There may be those that can match it, but no single player can claim to exceed it.

And to be frank, Jimmy’s had an offseason to rest, so you know he should have a full tank. However, the Miami Heat may need to ask a lot out of him until they can sort some things out with their power forward scenario.

Then there’s the fact that Jimmy doesn’t ever typically play more than 70 games, 58 being his highest regular-season number across three seasons in Miami. And while you would want your best players on the court more, Jimmy’s playing style leaves room for understanding there as he’s always there when it counts and when you need him the most.

Either way you look at it, that’s the main thing for Jimmy Butler. How long can they keep him fresh and especially if they have to ask him to play some four early in the year?
