Miami Heat: Lowry Underperformed On Deal, While Vincent Toppled His Deal

Kyle Lowry averaged 13.4 points, 4.5 rebiunds, and 7.5 assists while shooting 37.7 percent on 6.1 attempts from range per game, while Gabe Vincent averaged 8.7 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while shooting 36.8 percent on 4.8 atttempts from range per game. The key numbers are these though.

Lowry did that while being paid just under $30 million dollars, while Vincent did what he did while being paid just under $2 million. Comparatively speaking and based on a ratio of “cost/production”, Vincent severely outperformed him.

But, there is always conventional wisdom. Based on history, production, resume, and what you still know about Kyle Lowry—he is the better overall player.

Lowry is the future Hall Of Famer. It’s just that simple.

You can book the ticket to Springfield now. And so, while the executive may be right about Vincent being better for the Heat in the playoffs last season, that sentiment doesn’t extend beyond last season.

Lowry had a down year and you could see why and everything else about it unfolding right in front of your very eyes. In the coming season however, expect vintage KLow though, as he’s traditionally thrived off of being written off.
