The Miami Heat have lived and died on the back of their three-point shooting in the last several seasons. It’s been at the heart of their strategy for a while now and like a lot of the league, at this point, seems to be a good indicator or litmus test for their success in any given scenario.

In a game, a season, a series, or in a particular sample of games, if the Miami Heat shoot it well from three, then there is a good chance they experience success in said sample size of games, again though, not unlike most of the league.

Unlike most of the league though, the Miami Heat’s top two players, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, have typically not gotten it done with the three-ball. Jimmy Butler hasn’t really had his shot since arriving in Miami, while Bam just hasn’t traditionally taken many throughout the course of a season.

One guy that has taken and made a ton of shots from the perimeter though is Max Strus.
