Miami Heat: Most Important Stat For Max Strus In The 2022-23 NBA Season

Hopping on the scene out of DePaul, Strus couldn’t stick with his hometown Bulls or the Boston Celtics before landing in the Miami Heat’s lap.

Since then, he has proceeded to take massive leaps in both of his seasons with the South Florida ball club and all the way towards a starting spot on last season as he stepped in for a struggling Duncan Robinson.

He was the perfect fit too, as though he gets it done a little differently than Duncan does with the long ball, the fact of the matter is that Strus, too, is an absolute sniper from range.

That takes us to his most important stat on the season though.

Max Strus’s Most Important Stat Heading Into 2022-23: Two Point Attempts Per Game

Projection: four attempts per game

Averaging just one attempt from two per game in his first two NBA seasons, Strus would average just 1.8 attempts from two-point range on last season. Though nearly double his average in his first two pro years of experience, the near two per game still isn’t enough for a guy like Strus and that’s for several reasons.
