In their relatively short time as an NBA franchise, the Miami Heat have already had, somewhat, of a fairytale existence. Well, if not fairytale, at least the stuff that folklore is made of.

Duos like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal, and Dwyane Wade and LeBron James type of twosome folklore.

Of course, that is no disrespect to accomplices like Chris Bosh, who plays a part in both of the ensuing topics, but even he knows who the main draws were during the Miami Heat’s Big 3 Era.

The same can be said about the 2004 Men’s Olympic basketball team, where there were several players cast in starring roles.

Bryant and Jason Kidd were tasked as the veterans to bring the young bucks along. James was the future face of the league.

Carmelo Anthony began his Olympic reign and Wade put everyone on notice that he was back by leading the team in points as a reserve. And all Bosh did was quietly lead the team in rebounding.

All of which will likely be highlighted at the forefront of Friday’s Netflix release of The Redeem Team. However, in the background, the public gets another taste of the Wade and James tag team, but this time as executive producers.

With the release of Netflix’s ‘The Redeem Team’ documentary, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade could shift the focus to the story of the Miami Heat’s ‘Big 3’.

Both men have been making a name for themselves in television, such as Wade with Turner on their sports broadcasts and hosting non-sports themed shows such as “The Cube” or LeBron’s acclaimed “The Shop”.

They also dabble in film (Hustle, Relentless) and even other works in the realm of documentary filmmaking (More Than an Athlete, D Wade: Life Unexpected). Still, there is one story that plenty of Heat fans would love to see as much, if not more, than the others.

The backstory to the union of James, Wade, and Bosh has been told in a million ways. From the speculation of how the trio truly came together to all of the teams that potentially had a chance, fans want to see it all.

However, the masses were only privy to a peek at the details and emotions behind the union during Wade’s ESPN documentary. Though, by all accounts, each of the three traveled to every free agency pitch meeting with a camera crew in tow.

That news certainly left interested onlookers waiting for those recorded stashes to be unearthed. And with that, itching to hear details of future releases following the “Redeem Team” documentary.

The documentary could range from the bickering and the vitriol to the streaks and the titles, but either way, the audience would go wild for the footage of the true birth of The Heatles experience.
