The Miami Heat officially tip off their 2022-23 NBA season against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday at 7:30 pm Eastern Time at the FTX Arena in Miami. The Heat are looking to have continued success after last season, as they begin the season against their Eastern Conference foes.

Players To Watch

  • Jimmy ButlerJimmy Butler is looking to start off strong for the Heat, as the leader on and off the court. He will need to come out shooting early, attacking the glass on both ends of the court, and playing tough defense on his opponents. He is a key piece for Miami to pick up a win to start the season
  • Bam Adebayo– The big man in the middle of the Miami Heat offense, Bam Adebayo, needs to be aggressive early and continue it throughout the game. He will need to attack the glass, fight for every rebound, make plays for his teammates in the paint, and make sure no easy baskets come through near the basket.
  • Kyle Lowry– Even though injuries impacted Kyle Lowry’s season last year, Lowry should look to get back on track in this opening game against the Bulls. He will need to be the assist man, finding teammates from the end of the court, attacking the basket for easy layups, and making big plays from behind the arc.

Keys To The Game

1. Start Hot Early– Miami will need to get off to a fast start early and hold the lead through the game. Most of the games that the Heat lost last year, they had trouble finding the basket early and had to fight the whole game. Starting off hot from behind the arc, in the paint, and on defense early is a key for them to get a win at home.

2. Get Everyone Involved– Miami is a young team, full of young talent from the draft and from free agency this past season. The Heat will need to get everyone from the starters, to the bench, and even to some of the young guys to get a win in their opener.
