The Miami Heat pride themselves in keeping their own and especially their homegrown products, which is why it’s important information that Gabe Vincent is set to be a free agent this offseason.

This year is a big year for Vincent for a variety of reasons. This is a tryout year for Vincent to be the starting point guard for Miami in the future.

Vincent is one of the better backup point guards in the league and after having a full-time role last season, Vincent showed that he belongs. Vincent is a very good defender, especially on-ball and he really showed that in the playoffs when defending Atlanta Hawks point guard, Trae Young.

He gave Young a hard time and really made him work. Vincent is a solid three-point shooter as well, shooting 36.8 percent last season. He needs to improve his playmaking a bit but he is also more of a combo guard than a point guard.

You have to keep that in mind.
