The Miami Heat Aren’t Alone Among A Few Shocking Underachievers This Season

Miami’s disappointing start to the season isn’t unique.

Surprises Across The League

The Golden State Warriors are the defending champions but have started the season with a 3-7 start. The Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets were expected to be title contenders this season as well.

However, they have started out the season going 4-6 and 3-6, respectively. It is still very early in the season, so it is common to see a few surprises in the standings.

The fact that other potential contenders are struggling is not an excuse for the Miami Heat to play poorly. However, it does provide some perspective on the situation.

It indicates that there is still hope for the Heat to improve their record further into the season. So, should the Miami Heat enter panic mode?

No—at least, not yet. “Panic” or “worry” aren’t the right words to describe the Heat’s situation right now. It is still very early and there is plenty of time to turn things around this season.

The Heat should be concerned and cautious over their 4-6 start. They have to recognize that anything less than their best will not result in a championship this season.

That will help them to play with a chip on their shoulder. We will see how the Heat perform for their remaining 72 regular season games this season.
