When Miami Heat Play Their Game Both Ways, They Can Compete With Anyone

Bam Adebayo was also huge on the offensive end again, continuing to show off this season’s offensive aggression that’s been asked of him for a few years now.

He would finish with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and a dime of his own. Kyle Lowry had 15 points, three boards, and six assists, but hit some huge shots along the way.

And Martin would add in 15 points of his own, more importantly though, going 5-6 from three-point land in the process. They got help from the rest of the crew too but that’s what’s supposed to happen.

And the two-way fluidity as a team that they showed to come back from double-digits late in this game against a good Suns team is the perfect portrait of what the Miami Heat certainly can still be on a nightly basis. What that means is that they, not only, let the offense come to them by focusing on what they did well, but it came, in large part, on the back of their defense making stops.

Of course, they have to be as focused for 40-plus minutes a night as they were for the last 10 or so of Monday night’s win, that way they never have to make such a comeback in the first place.
