Miami Heat Add Stanley Johnson To Skyforce But Big Roster Hurdles Remain

Heading into Thursday’s game with the Los Angeles Clippers, the Miami Heat seem desperate to get back on the court to begin to shift the narrative once again. But perhaps, they may have just begun to help themselves on the court more with a move off the court.

Here’s what that means, so to speak.

Adding, though still young, NBA veteran, Stanley Johnson, to their G-Leauge affiliate over in Sioux Falls, the Miami Heat may have just gotten a real high-quality piece—for what it is they seek to do on a night-in and night-out basis anyway.

But what was noted above by Winderman’s tweet is important too. This move doesn’t necessarily mean that other teams still don’t have the opportunity to pounce on Johnson’s services.

And with that, even among the hurdles Winderman highlights, means that the Miami Heat need to be quick. Not that this means they need to hurry and sign him, outright, but they must hurry to see what he can offer them along the big roster.
