Miami Heat Could Really Potentially Benefit From Adding Johnson To Big Roster

For what it’s worth, adding Johnson seems like the exact type of move this Miami Heat team needs to help get them to where they are trying to go. He’s not a big addition, but he may be the right kind of addition.

It’s never really been about a star move for the Heat, as much as someone or someones to help in key and critical deficient areas like defense, rebounding, and easy transition buckets to help the offense. He’s a tweener, able to play in the middle areas and guard almost any position.

That speaks towards his average outside shooting prowess as well, something that the Miami Heat can help him with but also to the fact that he actually wants to guard on the other side.

That, along with his physicality, strength, athleticism, and noted remaining youth could make him, not only, a really good add but a piece capable of, again, injecting just the jolt into this team that they need right now with his hustle, dirty work, and time to time excitement on the floor.

Nothing is certain but just by getting him that much closer to their regular roster, possibly having an opportunity to show the Heat what he has in concert with the rest of their guys, this is a positive development for the roster. Hopefully, he is as good a fit as he seems and they can find a way to keep him.
