The Miami Heat are still trying to figure some things out on the court. In order to do so, they’ll have to lean into their identity on a full-scale basis.

That means that they’ll have to tap into that gritty, determined, and strong-willed mentality that has gotten them this far as an organization. In fact, they may have to go, borderline, petty in order to motivate themselves, especially with their penchant to play down thus far this season.

And they can’t be above that, as if that’s what it takes to win—that’s just what it takes. But then again, based on a recent set of events, “petty” might just be exactly how the Miami Heat like it.

After being fined by the NBA for failing to properly disclose an injury status according to them, the Miami Heat took things to the next level. But enough prognosticating about it here, check it all out for yourself.

You have just got to love the Miami Heat for this one. It’s actually pretty simple to explain though.

The Miami Heat were recently fined for what the NBA saw as ‘injury report antics’. However, the Miami Heat took those antics to a new level on Friday.

The Miami Heat have dealt with a ton of injuries thus far on the year. For that reason, they have seemed to have an elongated injury report for some time now.

Well, there are certain situations where a guy, if all things were equal, wouldn’t actually go for the Miami Heat. But, being that all things are not equal now in light of their injury woes, certain guys have to tough it out on some nights.

And the thing about it is that due to the overall volatility of it all, you don’t know if that player will be needed by the Heat to go or will be capable of going until close to tip, thus, serving to confuse a few people based on the injury reports. The NBA League Office was, apparently, a victim of said confusion.

So, to clarify and in the mightiest act of pettiness, the Miami Heat listed everyone. And you can’t knock them, as it says that “everyone is dealing with something and to pacify you, while nudging you all the while, we will list everybody and every little thing”.
