Things in Miami Heat land aren’t going good, however, signs of being able to steady the ship and turn it in that direction are present. Coming off a pretty good win on Monday night, not because of the final tally or quality of competition but because of how they looked getting it done, the Miami Heat definitely can say they have some things to build on.

They were fast. They were decisive.

They were together. And last, perhaps most importantly, they were committed to giving everything they had on both sides of the ball, regardless of what that may have or may not have meant for their stats and averages.

Struggling to shoot the ball from range overall as a unit, 13-49 to be exact, the Miami Heat did get some much-needed output from out there from a few guys. Caleb Martin, Nikola Jovic, Kyle Lowry, and Gabe Vincent all hit, at least one shot from range, with Lowry nailing two of his attempts.

Though in a win, the Miami Heat shot poorly from 3 Monday. However, Duncan Robinson did help give them something there along the way to setting a record.

However, the majority of the Miami Heat’s production from out there and the guys that hit them when they needed to see them go down the most were none other than their resident snipers, Duncan Robinson and Max Strus.

Strus would go 5-10 from three, while Robinson would go 3-5, accounting for eight of the Heat’s 13 made threes on the night. And though Strus would make more on the night, Robinson would be the Heat shooter setting the records on the night.

The fastest man in NBA history to reach 800 made three-point shots, Robinson also holds several other “three-point shooting speed records”. Well, to be precise, he holds nearly all of them except one, as indicated by the Tim Reynolds blurb above.

Duncan Robinson has seen the opportunities start to drift back his way and if he can continue to make the best of his minutes, as he has been across the last two weeks or so, don’t be surprised if those minutes just continue to grow and grow.

Because although he struggled mightily last season, shooters shoot and if the above facts and statements don’t say anything else—it’s that he’s still as pure of a shooter as they come.
