The Miami Heat still have a ton that they are dealing with. In example, they just added another body to their injury report.

And with this injury, a finger situation incurred by Duncan Robinson some time ago against Washington, the Miami Heat will be without one of their sharpshooters for about a month. And this was just when he was starting to come back around as an elite shooter.

With that though, others must continue to step up in order for the Miami Heat to keep progressing towards their ultimate goal—contention. And among those that have really stepped up recently is Victor Oladipo.

The Miami Heat have been banged up all season and continue to endure roster injury. However, with a revived Victor Oladipo, they may be able to maintain.

Returning from a lengthy absence to begin the season this year, Oladipo has since hopped onto the scene for the Miami Heat to make a vast impact. Averaging about 10 points, three rebounds, and three assists for the Miami Heat through 12 games played so far on the year, his last few contests have actually given you memories of his pre-injury form.

And in fact, it seems that he may be trending back towards that being closer to the norm than not. You can, one, look at one of his recent highlight plays from Denver.

Dunking on the head of one of the best young defenders in the league, a shot-blocking savant in Utah’s Walker Kessler, Oladipo displayed some of that classic athletic pop that helped make him into multiple-time NBA All-Star in the first place.

But even beyond just the athletic stuff and the All-World defense he can still put on display, the shot-making is trending back in the right direction.

And while the range shooting is one thing, going 5/12 in his last two games, the overall tough shot-making is what stands out, such as this one from the Heat’s latest win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

While all of it will be necessary for him to continue to help the Heat as he is and for him to get back to being the guy you know he wants to be, it’s the shot-making that will make all the rest of that stuff that much easier.

And as long as he can continue to trend in this direction, not only will he be just fine, but the Miami Heat should be too. Because if this is any indication of things to come, the Miami Heat may just have a fully revived Victor Oladipo on their hands.
