Jimmy Butler says right thing on Miami Heat no-call but so does Spo
Spo Is Supposed To Say What’s Right, Even When The Miami Heat Players Can’t
He certainly had to know that he was fouled. He knew that there was a ton of contact, but he won’t make excuses because he knows that excuses won’t win them ball games or help them improve.
To borrow from the next man in question, they have to control the controllables. Just one of many classic Spoisms, that’s not the only jewel or nugget of wisdom that applies here from the Miami Heat’s head man on Sunday night.
Here is what he had to say on the call.
And Coach Spo would also be right. Jimmy Butler was fouled on the last play and should have had an opportunity to shoot free throws.
Now, whether he makes them or not is a different topic, considering their struggles there recently, but he certainly “earned the right to go” to the line, as his coach stated. You want this from your coach too, standing up for his guys, and saying the things that need to be said even when the players shouldn’t.
Which is exactly what Spo did here. And that is why, both, Coach Spo and Jimmy Butler were both right on the no-call to end the Brooklyn game.
