If There Is A ‘Win-Now’ Move To Be Made, Should The Miami Heat?

Now, there is another side to it all. What would, perhaps, be their reason to entertain moving the pick?

The answer is quite simple and that’s because you have Jimmy Butler. The Heat will never, flat out, tank nor should they.

If Jimmy Butler is on the roster, there are absolutely zero excuses to do so. The goal is to have him deliver a championship with the correct roster and if that 2023 pick is what it takes to help get either another big or two good wings, you do it.

This team, despite the ugly losses and performances, have shown they can still be that same team from last year, they just need more. You don’t do a move for the sake of doing a move, but if that pick is what stands in the way, it needs to go.

As the Heat hang around that seven or eight-seed area, teams around the league might feel as if they’re dead in the water and can get a good pick off of them.

There’s no ideal trade partner yet in mind, but a team such as the Toronto Raptors, Charlotte Hornets, or maybe even the Utah Jazz might be looking to add more picks by sending a good player over.

The pick might be worthless to some teams, but this team just needs a slight jolt and health to be back at the top of things. You never know who is secretly available and that is why the Heat are still scary, despite how this season has looked so far.
