The Miami Heat may just make a move after all. However, when you think of NBA trades, trades or acquisitions in any professional sport really, you tend to think of new.

You tend to think of creation. One tends to think of something that never was before.

But that may not be the case with the Heat if they are to make the particular move in question here. According to one Miami Heat reporter and source, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, the Heat are currently monitoring the situation of one of their former forwards.

And that former forward would be the versatile Kelly Olynyk.

The Miami Heat have yet to make a move but that doesn’t mean one isn’t coming. And in fact, it may be for a former guy of theirs, Kelly Olynyk.

A guy that many wanted off this Heat squad near the end of his last tenure, the notion from this particular direction is that he never should have been shipped off in the first place. Now, while it did help the Heat land Victor OladipoKO certainly still offered them value.

Here’s the thing about his last tenure with the Miami Heat though.

While Kelly Olynyk experienced a terrible shooting slump near the end of his last stint with the Heat, an aggressive Bam Adebayo was always the key. They were asking too much of Olynyk at the time, to be honest.

Beside an aggressive Adebayo though, he’s the perfect fit. Hopefully, the Miami Heat will get a chance to see that through now, as again, they are monitoring the situation of the big man.

With a current need for more depth and more quality at both of the big positions, the four and five spots, and Bam Adebayo’s newly found aggressiveness and effectiveness on the offensive end of the floor, this move could go a long way towards helping the Miami Heat get to where they ultimately want to be.
