The Heat hold the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference ahead of a battle with the No. 2 Bucks tonight. Miami knows it needs a strong showing against Milwaukee, who entered the All-Star break on a 12-game winning streak.

Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t expected to play after sustaining a wrist injury, which cracks the door open for the Heat to pick up an upset on the road.

Now, let’s get into my best bet for the game.

Heat vs Bucks Pick and Prediction

This will be the third time this season the Heat face the Bucks with Giannis sidelined. Miami won each of the first two matchups and I expect another victory for the visitors tonight.

For all of the Heat’s struggles offensively this season, this is still an elite defensive team. Miami ranks fifth in the NBA in defensive rating (111.2) and it’s tough to imagine where Milwaukee gets scoring from without Giannis and Khris Middleton.

Against other teams, Brook Lopez would lead the way. However, Bam Adebayo is a perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate and held Lopez to fewer than 10 points in four of his last five games against him.

While Miami is just 6-5 against the spread in its last 11 games as an underdog, these are not your normal Bucks. As long as Giannis doesn’t play, the Heat should be favored.

Back the Heat to start the home stretch of the season with a victory to start rising up the standings.
