Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers injury, preview, and prediction for March 8
The Miami Heat are coming off two good wins against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday and Monday. However, they’ll need to show that they can get wins outside of those against the same team.
While the dichotomy in those wins shows that they are capable of winning games in multiple fashions, something that should translate to future matchups, in order to prove something to themselves and those outside, they need to look forward to getting wins over the other Eastern Conference competitors.
And Wednesday poses a good chance, as they welcome in one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Coming into the game 1-1 against the Cleveland Cavaliers on the season, the Miami Heat should be looking forward to two games at home, facing the Cavaliers twice on their home floor already.
And while there are many interesting things to look forward to in this game, one of the things to most look forward to will be the presence of Kevin Love and how he reacts against his former team in the first matchup of that caliber. However, with Love missing the Heat’s last game against Atlanta, it’ll be interesting to see if he plays, which takes us to the injury report.
The Miami Heat are coming off two good wins over the Atlanta Hawks. And still at home, can they keep it up over the Cleveland Cavaliers?
Heat Injury Report
When you do look at the Miami Heat injury report, Kevin Love’s name still pops up. Along with Kyle Lowry, a name that has appeared as “out” on the Miami Heat injury report for quite a while now, Love remains in question due to a hip contusion.
Hopefully, he’ll play and not only to give the Miami Heat his standard production but also hopefully a boost in his first matchup against his former team. But only time will tell there.
Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction
With the Miami Heat taking the last of the matchups between these two teams, the Cavs will come out ready. However, the Miami Heat are seemingly on an upswing after a few duds to come out of the All-Star break.
If Cleveland is to take one of these games in Miami, it would appear to be the first. But again, with the way the Heat are playing in nine of their last 10 periods, it’s hard to say.
Heat’s Next Game and Schedule
The Heat will finish a two-game set with Cleveland on Friday, before completing the second leg of a back-to-back on Saturday across the state in Orlando. They’ll then dance to the Jazz of Utah before also welcoming in a team that represents a state known for its music as well in the Memphis Grizzlies.
