The Miami Heat have the Cleveland Cavaliers on the docket for Friday night. And after dropping a highly contested matchup on Wednesday night to the same team, the Miami Heat will come out and try to limit their mistakes on Friday night.

That means attempting not to have 20-plus turnovers, which might allow the Cavs to go for the 30 points they did in their win in the last contest off of said turnovers. And though that’s the most immediate piece of pressing business before this Miami Heat team, that’s neither here nor there at the moment.

But there is a bit of news from around the NBA that concerns one of the Miami Heat’s legends and all-timers that is, both, here and there. Highly publicized since the beginning of the season that he will be retiring at the end of the season, the Miami Heat will, of course, be honoring Udonis Haslem as his career comes to a close.

Those that understand how the Miami Heat operate understand the value of Udonis Haslem. However, even from the outside looking in, it can be seen.

Deeming section 305 of the Miami-Dade Arena Udonis Haslem’s in honor of the OG, the Miami Heat will continue to try to send him out, right. But speaking of honoring the OG, he is receiving praises from a very unlikely source in one of the league’s foremost villains.

And while you always want to check the source, the facts that Dillon Brooks speaks of here are correct. Speaking about the Memphis Grizzlies’ current scenario with Ja Morant, many have pondered upon the notion that having a veteran in the locker room could have helped him prevent some of his things or at least, give him an older guy to bounce some things off of.

With Steven Adams, at just 27, being the grizzlies vet right now, it is a valid point. But most of all, for all those who question Udonis Haslem’s place with the Miami Heat and his roster spot, those that seem to get it—get it.

And when that number includes a guy as exuberant is Dillon Brooks, then you know that it must have all sorts of validity to it.
