Brooklyn Nets Catastrophe Has To Be The Miami Heat’s Defensive ‘Aha’ Moment

What would their tiny lead after magnificient shooting through a half of play foreshadow about the rest of the Miami Heat’s night? Well, let’s just say that it wasn’t anything good, at all.

Having one of their worst quarters of the season, the Miami Heat would proceed to put up a putrid third period. Though Jimmy Butler would do all he could to try to help them stay in it, scoring 10 of their mere 18 points scored in that quarter, it wasn’t enough as the Nets would continue to run off with the third quarter, 39-18.

At that point, the hill was too tall for the Miami Heat to climb and they would lose the game in dramatic fashion.

Now, still being 6-4 over their last 10 games with some quality wins tucked in there, albeit among a few tough losses as well, the Miami Heat are still trending in the right direction.

But with this issue being one that they knew they had before this game, hopefully, this is the instance that puts the proverbial nail in the coffin when it comes to the complacency with their defense in their last 10 games or so.
