Things start heating up for Miami here. This trade was offered by The Athletic NBA Show as they ran through several potential Beal deals.
Lowry is on a $29.6 million expiring contract, so the Wizards should have no issues taking it on. They could always buy him out if they cannot find a trade that moves the veteran on.
Duncan Robinson is thrown into the deal for salary-matching purposes, and Washington walks away with two first-round picks. They get a second first-rounder in 2023 to help jumpstart their rebuild and a future pick to add to their assets. The Wizards would select eighth and 18th in the 2023 NBA Draft after this trade.
This could be a preview of the final deal if Bradley Beal gets traded to the Miami Heat. It allows the Wizards to get a significant return as the Heat pick up the star they are searching for.
Miami should offer less as Beal controls the situation. If he wants to play for the Heat, the 30-year-old wing can make that happen. The Wizards have to find a franchise and situation that suits Beal, which should allow the Heat to acquire him at a significant discount.
