Depending on who you ask, this past season was either a massive win or a huge failure for the Miami Heat.

Heading into the playoffs, there were serious debates about whether the Heat should intentionally lose the Play-In game, thus choosing a pick in the lottery over a trip to the NBA Playoffs.

However, once they made it into the postseason, they took over the NBA world. Miami played David to the Milwaukee Bucks’ Goliath and ended up making a run to the NBA Finals.

Unfortunately, they fell short of their ultimate goal of a championship, and now, the question must be asked – what can the Heat do to improve upon their success?

Jimmy Butler has cemented himself as one of the best playoff performers in the league, Bam Adebayo is one of the league’s top defenders, and the Heat have an elite group of role players.

Luckily for them, they have one of the easiest pathways to trade for a star in the NBA, as Tyler Herro is prime trade bait. He is a 23-year-old star and was hurt throughout Miami’s playoff run, proving that they can win without him.

Last offseason, the Heat inked Herro to a shiny new four-year, $130 million contract extension. And while that may seem like a lot, with the new CBA coming into play, it will be on the cheaper side of contracts, making him an intriguing trade candidate.

And with how crazy the NBA trade landscape could look this offseason, the Heat could have a real shot at adding a new star to the mix.

With all that in mind, here are five Herro trades the Heat could make this summer.
